I teach AP Physics and most of my students come to me when mechanics starts to feel too abstract. I studied physics at university and have been tutoring for six years, mainly online. We spend a lot of time on free-response questions, diagrams, and getting the explanation right, not just the number at the end. I especially like teaching rotation and electric fields because those are usually the units that turn things around.

Hi, I’m an AP Physics tutor with a background in mechanical engineering. I started tutoring while I was still at university, first helping friends with problem sets, then working regularly with high school students. My lessons are pretty question-led. If a student is stuck, I’d rather work through one good problem properly than race through five. I teach both algebra-based and calculus-based physics, but circuits are probably my favourite topic.

I have taught AP Physics for just over nine years and work mostly with students preparing for strong exam scores in a short time frame. My degree is in applied physics, and my approach is centred on clear written method, mathematical setup, and careful use of units. I provide a good deal of support with kinematics, momentum, and energy transfer, as these are often the areas where avoidable marks are lost.
